i want everything too much
I'm Rachel Barbra Berry and I am going to be a star. I breath music and performing, and have been singing and dancing since I was a mere few months old. I'm currently in my fourth year at NYU'S TISCH program. Of course I am one of the most talented students in the program.

Celebration // Rachel & Jesse

the—showface:

Jesse waited anxiously for Rachel to say something. She seemed to be working it out in her head and the simple fact filled him with a little hope because he didn’t get an automatic rejection. He watched as she moved her arm, feeling her hand touch the back of his neck. Her touch alone sent that usual exciting warmth throughout his body that he only felt with her. As she pulled him down to her, he put up no resistance. Cupping her face between his hands, he kissed her softly. He let his lips linger over hers for a moment before actually moving because he just wanted to relish in the feel of her soft lips against his after the years it had been since their last one. Brushing his thumbs against her cheekbones gently, he kissed her again, this time a little deeper.

He slipped one of his hands into her dark hair and pulled her in a little closer. “Missed you so much,” he whispered against her lips. He ran his tongue along the edge of her lower lip and sucked it into his mouth to lightly nibble on it. He couldn’t help but let out a small sigh of content because he had been longing for this kiss for so long and had been starting to think that it wasn’t ever going to happen again.

It was surreal, really. Kissing Jesse again. Everything felt so familiar. And yet, at the same time she felt a thrill run through her. Perhaps she hadn’t been waiting as long as Jesse for this, but since the dance they had shared, it had been on her mind. The moment their lips connected though, everything flooded back to Rachel. Every kiss, every touch.. Everything they had shared. There were so many reasons why she should just give into Jesse, and while they were kissing, they were all impossible to ignore.

Sighing gently into his lips, Rachel couldn’t help but pull him even closer as he went in for a second, deeper kiss. Her fingers curling around the curls at the nape of his neck. Goodness how she loved those curls. Jesse’s mumbled words caused the brunette to shiver slightly. “Missed you too,” came her mumbled confession. Her free hand moving to grip his shoulder. Her legs shook a little, and not just because of the champagne. Feeling him suck her lip into his mouth, Rachel let out a whimper. How did he always do that to him? She was putty in his hands, just like she had been all those years ago.

Celebration // Rachel & Jesse

the—showface:

Jesse nodded and tried to think of something else to say to forward the conversation, but he was drawing a blank. All he could focus on was her and how perfect she looked in that dress and with her hair all done up the way it was. It was so much more perfect than she usually looked. After he asked if something was on her mind and she began to stammer, he tilted his head curiously. It really did seem as though she was working something out inside her head. Then she brushed that one unruly curl from his face and it he just about lost it. Any small form of contact with her sent electricity flowing through him, making him want to be with her even more and he knew he couldn’t. Still, her body language was telling him differently.

“You just what?” he whispered, grabbing her hand and playing with her fingers lightly. Sighing softly, he took another step towards her and placed one hand at her waist. “You look so beautiful tonight, you know,” he whispered. “Not that you don’t always take my breath away.” He slipped his other hand on the other side of her waist and pulled her against him slightly. “And I know you want to be friends now… and I’m really willing to wait. I don’t want to mess this up,” he whispered. “But I can’t help but think that there’s part of you that does want this. A part of you deep down that might still believe in us…” He reached one hand up to stroke her cheek gently as he waited for her to reply.

She couldn’t do this. It was impossible. Completely and utterly impossible. They were so close now. She could just about feel him breathing. Her skin was on fire. Every place he touched buzzed and tingled. Physical, tangible proof of the chemistry between them. Then there were the words he was speaking. Perfect words that shot right to her heart. Causing Rachel to shiver gently. She just didn’t understand how people could say that Jesse didn’t care about her, or that he was only going to hurt her. He was doing everything exactly right by her.

Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. Maybe it was the champagne. Or maybe it was that she just couldn’t take it anymore. Maybe it was both? Whatever the reason, Rachel ignored the voice in her head (that sounded oddly like Kurt) that told her it was a bad idea. Leaning in, Rachel gently hooked an arm around his neck. Pulling Jesse down to her in a soft, almost questioning kiss.

Celebration // Rachel & Jesse

Jesse couldn’t help but burst into laughter when Rachel revealed that the olives were pre-stuffed. “Oh of course,” he muttered, chuckling under his breath a little. “Well, next time you stop by the place you bought them, make sure to give the cook my compliments,” he muttered. He brought his champagne glass to his lips and within a moment, it was drained. Turning back to the bottle he refilled it and wondered just how much of it they were going to get through. When he turned back to the olives and held out one for Rachel to eat, he wondered if she was really going to take it from him. When she did, he was actually a little shocked. He bit his lip the second he felt her tongue brush his finger. It just about drove him insane with want for her. As she took it, he couldn’t help but brush his thumb against her lower lip instinctively. He felt himself leaning in again when she quickly turned away from him.

Reaching for his glass he drained it to give him something to do and get his composure back. “So…” he muttered, running his hand through his hair anxiously. “W-when do you start?” he asked, trying to get them talking so it could ease the sexual tension that was quite obvious between the two of them. “I could give you the tour of the theatre and everything when you get there. Show you backstage and all…” He found himself slowly walking back up to her like she had this magnetic pull on him that he couldn’t resist even if he wanted to. Grabbing the champagne bottle, he grabbed her glass from her hand and refilled it for her before refilling his own. “You look like there’s something on your mind,” he murmured, touching his hand to her face to make her look at him. Such a touch still came naturally to him with her after all these years. “Is everything alright?”

Rachel gave a small shrug at his question. “I have a meeting in a few days with the director, choreographer and musical director. I’m guessing I’ll get more details at that point. I’d assume I start next week.” Rachel gave a small shrug, still trying to compose herself. Why was this so hard? Rachel had grown, had she not? She was mature enough to maintain a platonic friendship wasn’t she? Though she liked to think the answer to those questions was yes, she seemed to be proving herself wrong at the present moment.

As Jesse took her glass and lifted her face to look at him, Rachel bit the inside of her lip. “S-something on my mind?” She questioned uneasily. Did he know she was struggling with her feelings for him? With the fact she wanted nothing more than to kiss him? Swallowing, she searched her mind for something to say. “I.. It’s just…” Staring up into her eyes, she had to swallow again. That one curl had fallen into his face again, and Rachel just couldn’t help it. Reaching up, she gently brushed it from his face.

Movie Night || Faberry

ny-quinn-fabray:

Quinn poured herself water and put the jug away just as Rachel walked into the kitchen. She took a quick drink of her water before she turned around to face Rachel, her eyes quickly scanned over the brunette quickly and a smile cracked across her face. Rachel’s sense of style seriously never changed but it didn’t really bother Quinn. “You look nice, Rachel.” she said softly, noticing the girls awkwardness but hoped it would subside. “I am all ready to go so yes, let’s hit the snack bar. Just give me a second to grab my jacket.”

She finished her water and walked back to her room. Moments later she was out by  the front door, putting her black cardigan over her white dress, she smoothed it all out and looked at Rachel expectantly. “Lead the way because if I do we’ll be lost the second we exist the building.” she laughed slightly and rolled her eyes at her own inability to figure out a damned city.

At Quinn’s compliment, Rachel felt herself smile. Looking up and down her outfit, she felt a new confidence in her appearance. If Quinn thought she looked nice, then she must look at least a little nice. Nodding, she moved to get herself a drink of water while Quinn got her jacket. Quickly drinking it down, she rinsed the glass before moving to the front door to meet Quinn. Offering the blonde a smile, Rachel picked her keys from the hook by the door. “You look really pretty Quinn.” It was true, but Quinn always looked really pretty.

“Let’s go!” She announced, letting them both out of the apartment. She moved in silence as they made their way to the lift and out of the building. Once outside, Rachel linked her arm through Quinn’s without really thinking. “This way,” she informed the girl, turning them to the left. “It’s only a few blocks. You’ll love it, Quinn! It’s styled just like a vintage movie theatre.”

Kurt smirked at Santana, giving her an approving nod at the choice of champagne. “Magnifiqué.” He said in his best french accent. Kurt had been taking french classes at McKinley and at Dalton. It was the only language he knew almost fluently, except for english of course. Karaoke night sounded perfect in Kurt’s ears. What Barbra Streisand could Santana sing to Rachel? Hmmm, he searched through his mind for a little, before snapping his fingers, looking at her with a broad smile. “Sing Funny Girl. Aside from Wicked, that’s her favorite musical. Barbra played the lead in that. It’s a classic.”

Then he heard Rachel enter and he immediately ran towards her and hugged her tightly. “Hey honey. Look who I found. Santana.” He said and smiled. “Can she please join the celebration? Look!” He said and pointed at the karaoke machine and took one of two of glasses with champagne, handed the one to her and raised his own. “To Miss Rachel Berry on her Broadway debut. I’m so proud of you.” He said and clinked her glass into hers, when he for the third time felt his cellphone vibrating. Kurt backed away slightly giving the two girls an opportunity to talk a little. After a few minutes of texting, he returned to the “party.” He looked at them and cleared his throat. “I’m pretty sure Blaine have told his boyfriend about me and him… Therefore, I told Blaine it was okay that he came down here.” Kurt mainly looked at Rachel, because it was her they were celebrating.

After a few minutes, the door opened again and Blaine came in. Kurt smiled at him, not kissing him because… Technically, he was still dating Jacob. So it wasn’t public yet. He just mouthed a “hey you” to him.

Rachel gave an eye-roll as Santana started talking. “Perhaps I might believe you were trying to make piece if you actually started calling me by my first name, Santana!” Rachel was close to furious. This was the company Kurt was so keen on her having? It was supposed to be a celebration of her achievements, and he had invited the person who probably hated her most in the world? Was he trying to upset her? Rachel turned to express her intensely negative feelings to Kurt, but he was giving her a glass and making a toast. To which she just rolled her eyes at but took a sip anyway. It was good Champagne.

Blaine?? First Santana and now Blaine? Rachel could not believe it. Kurt was making this all about him! Of course, it wasn’t as though Rachel was never guilty of that, but still. Letting out a long sigh, she downed some more of her champagne.
